During our life we may find that we have an increasing feeling of being out of control, maybe feel that there is something wrong but however hard we try and whatever we do to try to resolve this feeling it remains making us feel worthless. It's a feeling that's hard to explain but non the less it's there and invariably impacts on our life in one way or another.
This feeling that there is something inside us but outside our control may be the effect of bottled up emotion which is hidden away looking for a means of escape. This form of therapy seeks to find and release that cause and hence the symptoms should disappear . Emotional problems respond particularly well to Analytical Hypnotherapy. This is done in a safe secure way under Hypnosis enabling the client to safely reach the cause in their own time - just a natural purging resulting in the client leaving behind their anxiety leaving them free to unlock their potential. It's often described as the final piece of the jigsaw.
Analytical Hypnotherapy usually takes about 6 - 12 sessions, once a week for about an hour
Suggestion Therapy (sometimes called Clinical Hypnosis)
Suggestion Therapy seeks to use the power of positive suggestion to enhance, motivate or change behaviour and is ideally suited to such things as:
Healthy eating regimes
To help manage stress
Alleviate fear for such events as public speaking, flying or fear of things like injections or visits to the dentist.
Basically, you will be relaxed into a lovely, calm light hypnotic state (where you will be wide awake and fully in control - but nice and relaxed) and you will be given suggestions that will effect your behaviour/feelings once you are out of the hypnotic state - hence the term 'post-hypnotic suggestion'.
Suggestion therapy can be very effective, but the results are only temporary - hence it is particularly useful when short-term benefits are needed, and only one or two sessions would be required—with perhaps a booster at a later date.
For stopping smoking or weight management suggestion therapy is combined with a powerful cognitive therapy to form a long term solution - see the section Stop smoking Easily (below).

This powerful training programme focuses on the individual and seeks to widen their perspective on their surroundings, provide valuable knowledge about themselves allowing personal growth, development and promoting positive change, helping the individual to regain control over their life.
It is particularly poignant at times of significant change when current coping strategies and mechanisms become redundant and a feeling of being completely out of control takes over resulting in high levels of emotion and anxiety, panic attacks and stress.
This training has been extremely effective in helping individuals leaving school or University and moving into the world of work, people facing redundancy, in fact any point of significant change. It has also been proved to be especially effective for individuals who feel stuck in their lives and who feel unable to change.
This usually requires 2 - 6 sessions depending on the individual circumstances.

All too often low self esteem, lack of confidence and anxiety can undermine the strongest of Will Power causing any attempts to lose weight to fail sooner or later. For a long term solution for individuals who suffer from anxiety, low self esteem or who just don't feel right I recommend Analytical Hypnotherapy which can be summarised briefly as a therapeutic technique in which a client is relaxed into hypnosis, and using free-association, sets out to release and resolve bottled-up emotions, conflicts and anxieties. This therapy seeks to find and release the cause and hence the symptoms will disappear. If the excessive eating is triggered by emotional problems then by releasing the emotion the drive to eat excessively will recede.
